Alright, let’s get into my list of the best vegan protein powders!

Sprout Living Epic Protein (Original Unflavored – 26g protein per serving)

Best Tasting Protein Powder 2026

Why it’s great: I’ve been a fan of Sprout Living for a couple of years now and for several reasons: not only does their Epic Protein (Original formula, pictured above) pack the some of highest protein per serving I’ve encountered at 26g, but the ingredient quality and nutrient variety is truly exceptional. Their organic protein is made up of yellow peas, sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, sacha inchi, and cranberry seed (all of which contain the 9 essential amino acids), as well as Jerusalem artichoke which is packed with gut-loving prebiotics. I love Sprout Living’s products because they’re a plant-based protein powder and superfood supplement all rolled into one. Plus they’re third-party tested so you know you’re consuming a safe, high-quality product – which is particularly important for me, as someone that consumes protein powder almost daily.

Taste: 10/10. Really. The Original Unsweetened flavor is neutral but slightly sweet, and complements the flavors of whatever you’re mixing it into – from smoothies, to baked goods, to oatmeal, or just water! If you like protein powders with more of a distinct flavor, I also absolutely love their Vanilla Lucuma, Pro Collagen (this one has a delicious raspberry flavor), Chocolate Maca, Green Kingdom, and Matcha, as well. You really can’t go wrong with any of their flavors – I have yet to try one that isn’t delicious.

Cost: $64.95 for a 2-.lb. container (24 servings) or $55.21 (15% off) when you subscribe, plus – get 20% off your Sprout Living order with code VEGANANJ20!

Global Healing Plant-Based Protein (Vanilla – 20g protein per serving)

Why it’s great: Global Healing is an incredible supplement brand that now offers a fantastic vegan protein powder that I’ve had the chance to try recently. It I love this one because it offers a diverse mix of protein sources, featuring garbanzo bean, pea, pumpkin, and sacha inchi proteins. They’re also super focused on being gut friendly and include a bunch of probiotics to improve gut health and aid in digestibility. It’s also fully organic and USDA certified, which is super important.

Taste: This protein powder has a smooth vanilla flavor and monkfruit to provide a subtle sweetness without any added sugar.

Cost: $64.95 for a 1.6-lb bag.(20 servings) or $55.21 (15% off) when you subscribe. Get 20% off your first order with code VEGANANJ.

Earthchimp (Plain/Unsweetened – 21g protein per serving)

Why it’s great: I often seek out brands that are doing better by the planet through intentional sustainability practices, and Earthchimp is a company that’s doing just that. With every purchase a tree is planted through the Eden Reforestation Project, and 10% of their packaging costs are allocated towards ocean cleanups. You can also opt-out of receiving the plastic scoop, which is a brilliant way to reduce plastic waste. In addition to their admirable sustainability practices, Earthchimp is an objectively great protein powder when it comes to ingredient quality. Their organic vegan protein blend is comprised of peas, pumpkin, coconut, and sunflower, and they also have healthy ingredients like dates, flax seeds, probiotics and digestive enzymes.

Taste: I’ve now tried Earthchimp’s Plain/Unsweetened, Vanilla, and Chocolate flavors, and have really enjoyed them all; I’m just slightly more partial to the Plain flavor because it’s more neutral and goes well in any smoothie I’m making.

Cost: $39.99 for a 2-lb. bag; get 10% off your Earthchimp order with code VEGANANJ.

Orgain (21g protein per serving for Organic Protein, 30g for Sport Protein)

How to Get More Protein in Your Diet
Credit: Orgain

Why it’s great: Orgain’s been on the market for some time now and has remained a top-choice for many as one of the best plant-based protein powders out there. It’s organic, high-protein, and antioxidant- and prebiotic-rich. While I prefer their unsweetened ‘Organic Protein,’ they also offer a ‘Sport Protein’ that has 30g of protein – the most I’ve found among organic plant-based protein powder brands.

Taste: Orgain’s protein powders aren’t gritty, but you taste the pea protein a bit. This doesn’t bother me, personally, but I know that some people don’t want to taste it at all. They also have other fun flavors like Strawberries & Cream, Fruity Cereal, Oatmilk Chocolate, Creamy Chocolate Fudge, Churro Caramel Swirl, Honeycrisp Apple, Iced Coffee and more.

Cost: $37.99 for a 1.59 lb. canister. Get 25% off your first subscription order and 10% off each subsequent subscription order of any Orgain protein powder!
